Security Square Mall Public Input Meeting

IMPORTANT public input opportunity TOMORROW!

One of the biggest concerns I hear from constituents is about Security Square Mall. Although the mall is not in District 44B, our communities border on the mall, so 44B residents, including me, are rightly concerned about the current condition and future development of the mall property. I’m committed to helping to revitalize the mall, which is why I’m serving on the Randallstown NAACP ‘s Task Force on Revitalization of Security Mall. This property has so much potential and could be a center of community and economic connection in the heart of Woodlawn.

TOMORROW, Tuesday August 31, at 7pm, the Baltimore County Department of Planning will be hosting a virtual meeting to hear from community members regarding your current concerns about Security Square Mall, as well as your ideas for the future of the site. This is your opportunity to make your voice heard.

If you’d like to speak, you must sign up by 3pm tomorrow (Tuesday). Anyone wishing to speak can register in advance by emailing their name and phone number to nseyediop@baltimorecountymd.gov before 3 p.m. on the date of the meeting. Each speaker will be given three minutes to speak. Those who do not wish to speak at the meeting but want to share their thoughts can provide written comment via email (masterplan@baltimorecountymd.gov) or Webex chat.
