I live in Westview Park with my husband and 3 cats. I've lived here for over 30 years, raised a son here, and served the community. I'm currently a member of the House of Delegates, where I chair the Labor Subcommittee on the Government, Labor, and Elections Committee. Previously I served on Environment and Transportation committee and was a Deputy Majority Whip. I'm a member of the Women's Caucus, supporting member of the Latino and LGBTQ+ caucuses, and the House Vice-Chair of the Transit Caucus.
I serve as a Maryland representative on the Chesapeake Bay Commission, where I'm Chair of the Maryland delegation. I'm also an Ex-Officio member of the Friends of the Jones Falls Board.
I was an elected member of the Baltimore County Democratic State Central Committee from 2018-2020, and I founded the Baltimore County Progressive Democrats Club, where I still serve as Vice-President. I'm also a member of the Baltimore County West Democratic Club and the Southwest Baltimore County Democratic Club.
